STARWEIGHT ORIGINAL CANON • CREATED BY ARIA KAY

Dark / Dahlia Mercer

Age 20 • Nightglass wielder • Kita’s equal and best friend

Dahlia Mercer—called Dark—is not Kita’s shadow or sidekick. She is her protector, co-conspirator, and the person most willing to say the hard truth while standing beside her.

“I am not hiding. I am deciding who gets to see me.”

Nightglass

Dark shapes darkness into hard, translucent constructs: shields, wings, blades, braces, bridges, and rescue cages. Nightglass is strongest when she works with the geometry already around her.

The cost

Backlash steals heat and color from her body. Heavy use can numb her hands, wash color from her vision, and leave her frighteningly cold.

Her bond with Kita

Music is Kita’s primary Anchor. Dark’s voice is the backup that can cut through Drift. Their promise is simple: “No one falls alone.”

Personality

Controlled where Kita is impulsive, sharp where Kita is chaotic, Dark makes plans—but she will break every one of them to save a life.
